Many Thanks

Many thanks to DBG TEENS and parents for your patience during our staff transitions.

For the rest of this year, we will be:
-Helping the TEENS already signed up for TEEN Master to complete their work
- Continuing the Seasonal and TEEN volunteer opportunities for TEENS already in the program
- Working to help those who have already applied to enter the program for this year

We’re no longer using teenvol@dbg.org as an e-mail address for TEEN information…please watch your own e-mails for information about sign-ups, etc. Those e-mails will have specific information about who to contact to participate.

DBG Community Garden

Thank you for all your hard work at the DBG Community Garden - Our bed has soil and we will begin irrigation installation later this month.  Great work TEENs!

The Garden spot that was prepared by the TEENS will be used by the new Desert Botanical Garden restaurant “Gertrude’s”…the chef will grow fresh vegetables and other edible plants and use them in special recipes for our hungry garden guests. The diners will learn about the benefits of sustainable community gardening – an educational plus. Thanks for making that possible! (Anyone remember who “Gertrude” was, and what she meant to the garden?)

"At today's meeting, we socialized, scavenged, and serenaded each other with the sound of bicycle bells."
