Thank you for all your hard work at the DBG Community Garden - Our bed has soil and we will begin irrigation installation later this month. Great work TEENs!
The Garden spot that was prepared by the TEENS will be used
by the new Desert Botanical Garden restaurant “Gertrude’s”…the chef will grow fresh
vegetables and other edible plants and use them in special recipes for our
hungry garden guests. The diners will learn about the benefits of sustainable
community gardening – an educational plus. Thanks for making that possible!
(Anyone remember who “Gertrude” was, and what she meant to the garden?)
